Kids in America provide a night of totally 80s hits on Friday, July 13th! Bring your chair or blanket and enjoy this free performance on the Historic Courthouse lawn. Food and beverage vendors open at 6:00pm with a range of tasty treats and scrumptious specials. Music kicks off at 7:00pm. In addition to all the great music and food, come out to the first TGIF Cruise-In of the season. Cruise-Ins are brought to you by the Morganton Motor Club.

Music at the Market - Reel-Time Lucy

The Morganton Farmers Market will feature LIVE music from Reel-Time Lucy on Saturday, July 14 from 9 to 11am. Reel-Time Lucy will bring out the Irish in you with their Irish dancing jigs.

Competition entries will be on display during the Morganton Festival from Friday, September 7 to Saturday, September 8 at 111 North Green Street (grassy lot across the street from CVS). Judging to take place on Saturday, September 8th at 10:00am.

Miss Morganton Pageant

The Miss Morganton Pageant is open to young ladies, ages 7-24, who reside in North Carolina. The pageant takes place during the Morganton Festival in early September and the queens are crowned on the Main Stage just prior to the festival’s headlining concert on Saturday, September 8th.

If you are interested in learning more about the Miss Morganton Pageant, please come to one of the following information sessions at the Morganton Community House:

Music at the Market - Morganton JAM

Saturday, September 22 9:00-11:00am

You can enjoy LIVE music while shopping fresh and local produce at the Saturday Farmers Market on September 22nd. The students of the Junior Appalachian Musicians program will be at the Market playing tunes for you from 9-11am.

Oyster and Shrimp Festival

When: Saturday, October 20, 2018    1-8pm

This will mark the 17th Annual October Oyster and Shrimp Festival, an annual fundraiser for the Burke Arts Council. The event will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 on the Old Court House Square and the Burke Arts Council property at 115 E Meeting Street in Downtown Morganton. The event begins at 1pm and goes until 8pm. PLEASE – NO PETS !! Admission to the event is free. The food and drink is available for purchase.
